An On-demand Car Wash Service In Lebanon Has Raised $1.2 Million- Valutrics

Lebanese car wash app Blink My Car has raised $1.2 million in a seed funding round led by Beirut-based venture fund Phoenician Funds.

Launched in 2015, Blink My Car is an on-demand car cleaning service.

Once a customer raises a request, the firm will send staff to the user’s location and get the car washed, using eco-friendly products and just a cup of water, it claims.

This approach helps save 250 liters of water per car, it says.

The startup will use the money to increase the number of active users in Beirut, expand in Doha and launch in Dubai within two years, said Blink My Car COO Ralph Choueiri.

It went live in the beginning of 2016 employing mostly Lebanese university students, after raising $350,000 as an angel investment from Al Amir Holdings

An increasing number of Lebanese startups is attracting investor interest.

Recently, Lebanese automotive marketplace Seez has raised $1.8 million in a seed funding round from Wamda Capital, BY, and Phoenician Funds.
