Dubai’s Nol Card Moves A Step Closer To Be The City’s Use Everywhere Card- Valutrics

Public transport payment solution Nol cards can now be used for retail purchases at 1,000 retail outlets across Dubai, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The facility has already been available at Zoom convenience stores at several metro and petrol stations since April this year.

The service is now available in more than 1,000 other prominent retail outlets across Dubai. Now users can make purchases up to Dhs5,000 using the blue Nol cards, while silver and gold Nol card holders can make purchases of up to Dhs1,000.

By the end of this year, the payment system is expected to be available at around 5,000 retailers.

The initiative is in line with the smart city plan, which aims to make Dubai one of the world’s smartest cities The only mode of payment for metro, tram and buses, Nol card was recently made available as a payment option at Dubai’s public parks as well as on taxis.
